Olen lähtöisin snautseri-pinserirotujen parista ja valmistunut ulkomuototuomariksi 90-luvun puolivälissä. Olen kasvattanut kennelnimellä Brinata p&s kääpiösnautsereita vuodesta 1983 ja pari pentuetta mustia snautsereitakin.

2000- luvun alkupuolella ryhdyin laajentamaan pätevyyksiä useampiin rotuihin ja roturyhmiin. Näin tehdessäni huomasin kiinnostuvani yhä uusista roduista ja totesin muiden rotujen opiskelusta olevan hyötyä myös ”omissa” roduissa. Kaikkien rotujen arvosteluoikeudet minulle myönnettiin pari vuotta sittten.

I have been in close contact with a dog since I was born though at that time my parents had a pet dog. When he passed away my parents agreed to have a Boxer as for all of us it was the nicest breed in the world. So I got my first pure bred Boxer when I was 12 years old. I was lucky to get a nice show dog, so I got very enthusiastic about showing and training. Since that dogs occupy large part, if not the largest, of my life.

For many years I have bred Boxers and have been Chairman of Latvian Boxer Club 1981-1995. At present I am happy owner of 3 Cavalier King Charles Spaniel males. Before becoming a Dog show judge I became trainee and judge for general obedience and special trials. In 1982 I become a Dog show judge and gradually stopped training dogs. Since 2012 all-breed judge. At the moment I work for Latvian Cynological Federation as Bureau administrator and I am also the member of the Board, previously also chairman of Judges Committee.

Have judged in Argentina, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia&Herzogovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, China, Colombia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Republic of Korea, Lithuania, Malaysia, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Republic of Moldova, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, Uruguay.

I have had also the honor to judge at World Dog shows in Poznan, Poland (2006), Bratislava, Slovakia (2009), Salzburg, Austria (2012), Budapest, Hungary (2013), Helsinki, Finland (2014), Madrid (Spain) (2020) and European Dog Shows in Zagreb, Croatia (2007), Budapest, Hungary (2008), Leeuwarden, the Netherlands (2011), Switzerland (2013), Nadarzyn, Poland (2016), Budapest, Hungary (2021).

Another highlight of his judging career has been his appointment at the Championship Show of the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club in South Africa.
